Atletica Pistoia conquers Vercelli: four Italian titles and a silver at the Italian Master Relay, Multiple Trials and 10,000 meters Championship

Athletics Pistoia also gave applause at the Italian Masters Championship of Relays, Multiple Trials and 10,000 metres, held at the Athleti Azzurri d’Italia camp in Vercelli. Driven by the president/athlete, the 88-year-old Remo Marchioni, the Pistoia team shone, winning 4 gold medals and one silver. The event, organized by Fidal Nazionale and Atletica Vercelli 78, attracted more than a thousand athletes from all over Italy. Despite the inclement weather, which certainly did not make the competitions any easier, our standard bearers defended themselves very well, also obtaining notable placings.

The four tricolor titles were the prerogative of the SM75 4x100m relays And 4×400 meters SM70, composed respectively by Remo Marchioni, Marco Feroci, Mauro Giuntini and Edoardo Scarpetta (final time of 1’16″72) and by Remo Marchioni, Edoardo Scarpetta, Mauro Giuntini and Patrizio Di Vita (time of 5’57″03); Of Francesca D’Annibale And Giulia Ferrari, respectively in the SF45 and SF50 Heptathlon. Second step of the podium for Swedish relay SM70 (100 meters for the first competitor, 200 meters for the second, 300 meters for the third and 400 meters for the fourth), formed by Remo Marchioni, Marco Feroci, Antonio Nencini and Patrizio Di Vita (final time of 3’05″67 ). Cristina Mannello, Marina Mariottini, Lara Giacomelli, Maida Mei, Elisabetta Tredici and Yulya Shyshko also took part in the tests, led by technical director Maura Vignali.
