On Sunday 5 May at 3pm, the 51st edition of the Stefanino d’Oro will take place at the “Ennio Morricone” Auditorium in Santo Stefano Ticino, a non-competitive singing festival for children aged 4 to 11, organized in S. Stefano Ticino by Stefanese APS Choir. It is, in fact, one of the longest-running events of the Stefano community, and usually takes place on the occasion of Mother’s Day, therefore the first or second Sunday of May. It is an important opportunity offered to children to learn the beauty and pleasure of singing in a choir, and, why not, also the thrill of performing as soloists in front of a large audience of proud family and friends. The songs sung by the children are taken from the national Zecchino d’Oro repertoire, and usually include one or more soloists accompanied by the choir; This is precisely the spirit of the event: each child learns to play the double role of protagonist (soloist) and supporting actor (chorister), in support of their classmates.
