Marvel Studios has not yet officially expressed its opinion on the matter, but several insiders report that Avengers 5 will have a different subtitle, also because we still don’t know how Kang’s character will be handled after Jonathan Majors’ conviction. Notwithstanding that Avengers 5 it could still be called The Kang Dynastyimagining a recast of the character and the continuation of the storyline as Marvel Studios had intended, the most probable name at the moment is a Secret Wars Part 1which will therefore add a Part 2 to the already announced Avengers: Secret Warswhich will close the Multiverse Saga.
It would also make sense to the extent that Secret Wars will be a much bigger crossover than Endgameand spreading everything over two films (especially from the point of view of the characters involved) would play into Marvel Studios’ game to best dose heroes and resources.
It is therefore probable that Marvel merges the two projectsperhaps setting aside Kang, but for the moment there are no official certainties on the matter.
