Durum wheat plays a central role in Italian agriculture both in terms of annual consumption and in terms of demand from the milling and pasta industry.
Despite everything, the sector is going through a difficult time, both in terms of climate and due to market prices which are very low.
This will be discussed in tomorrow’s meeting which will be held in Terra Maiorum, in via Castel del Monte 184 in Corato and which is entitled “The durum wheat supply chain in an evolving market: problems and prospects“.
Thus continues the cycle of information initiatives called “The knowledge system” conceived by the Local Action Group of Andria and Corato to innovate the agricultural and agri-food sector by qualifying those employed in the sector and informing land managers through interventions by experts from the academic and sharing successful experiences.
