The Action lists for the European elections are being released today Azione Liguria will present in the North West Italy constituency Cristina Lodi, Genoa city councilor and regional secretary, and Federico Giacobbe, councilor of Media Valbisagno, former 5 Star who in 2023 moved to +Europa and in recent days left the party led by Emma Bonino for Action. The presentation was attended by, with Lodi and Giacobbe, Giovanni Stagnaro, secretary of Azione Genova and Cristina Bicceri of Noi Europeani.
«Giacobbe’s accession – declares Lodi – means that Action is a growing party. And the political dimension combined with growth of a ruling class rooted in the territories it was the objective we had set ourselves in a persecution project like the one started by secretary Donno. So for me Giacobbe’s arrival is truly a great joy, those who know me know that from the regional secretary and group leader of the mixed group in the Municipality I always pay attention to the territories, I think that political positions take root there and from there we can then look up. It’s a joy and this growth is a positive sign at a time when we obviously hope that the electorate is increasingly convinced to vote for us and therefore to fly towards Europe.”
As regards the fundamental points of the program, together with social and environmental policies Lodi considers fundamental «The whole theme of the ecological transition, the theme of common defense, the need to structure a greater force with regards to Europe and the power of the European legislative Parliament, therefore the legislative power of Parliament, so that it can finally act not blocked by veto rights but also positions taken by majority. The fight against poverty today it is one of the fundamental themes which means dealing with the extreme and weak groups but also with the daily struggle of families, the unemployed, young adults, women, these categories are many. Industry, work and territorial development these are the challenges for which we have applied, and for which we are working really hard in a campaign to listen and also to launch our ideas”.
