London, 30 April 2024 – Terror in London. At least four people were injured by a man armed with katana close to subway station of Hainault, in Ilford, on the north-eastern outskirts of the English capital.

This was reported by the Telegraph, according to which the man – of whom some photos are circulating on social media with I’m wearing a yellow sweatshirt and armed – he was arrested. The news of the arrest was also confirmed by the Labor MP for the Ilford North constituency, Wes Streeting.

A witness said he saw a man “running around with a samurai sword” who “stabbed four people after crashing his van into a house.” The tube station was closed by the Metropolitan Police while numerous ambulances arrived on site.

The police: “It’s not terrorism”

The multiple stabbing of at least four people it is not an act of terrorism. The London police declared it. “We do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the community. We are not looking for other suspects.”said deputy commander Ade Adelekan, specifying that the man ended up in handcuffs he is a 36 year old.

“We were called just before 7am to reports of a vehicle that had broken down crashed into a house in the area of Thurlow Gardens. There have been reports of people being stabbed,” reads the note released by the Met Police. “At this moment we understand that the suspect then attacked some people and two police officers”. And again: “We are waiting for updates on the conditions of the injured.”
