“We sent the best we have to Pesaro,” said the region’s health councilor Filippo Saltamartini. Because yesterday the appointment of director of the province’s territorial health company was made official: Alberto Carelli will lead the complex system. He will be the one to take the place of Nadia Storti who took early retirement, shocking the entire healthcare system a bit. Alberto Carelli, who lives in Macerata, comes from the Ast of Fermo where a small pandemonium happened, so much so that even the mayor Paolo Calcinaro said he was disconcerted at the news that “the most valid administrative director of the Fermo health system has been moved to Pesaro as manager , not a good sign for our territory, how is it possible that it is always taken from here, in the Province which is still in the queue in the region for the many health parameters? We wish him well in his work, with a certain regret” .
Vast experience behind him, above all, as administrative director, Alberto Carelli arrives in Pesaro to settle some health issues that Salmartini announces as priorities starting from “carrying forward and completing the territorial health plan, stopping the problem of passive mobility which in fact we will try to reverse it, bringing the Romagna people to the Pesaro area, and therefore the problem that is an absolute priority for us is that of building the new hospital”.
And on the construction of the new hospital Saltamartini announces important steps starting today “because we found ourselves faced with some logistical problems that we are trying to overcome. It is one thing to organize the movement of departments between private and private individuals, but a completely different story it is to do it as a public body and therefore with all the problems that arise from a bureaucratic point of view of the various steps”.
It is worth remembering, as far as this appointment is concerned, that in Fermo they tried in every way to block this transition from the Ast of Fermo to that of Pesaro, trying to also bring in top-level figures from the League. But there was nothing that could be done.
“We must proceed to resolve all the problems we have in Pesaro and this requires superior capacity. Among the list of names we had, Carelli’s – continues Saltamaretini – was the most suitable also in terms of experience and ability to fill that role”.
On the problem of the new hospital, the regional health manager also announces that a regional summit will be held today to resolve the problem of transferring some departments and this should lead to an acceleration of the start of construction of the new hospital.
