MILAN, 29 APR – Two new hires and the launch of a new project to multiply inclusion. With these initiatives PizzAut celebrates Labor Day on May 1st. The two new hires, in the pizzeria run by girls and boys suffering from autism, will be announced during a lunch to be held on May 1st at the restaurant in Monza, which will also be attended by Simona Tironi, regional education and training councilor Lombardy. The restaurant in Monza, the second PizzAut, was inaugurated last year in the presence of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, who was offered the Articolo1 pizza, dedicated to the Constitution. Another novelty that will be announced on the occasion of Labor Day is the PizzAutoBus, that is, a fleet of 12 PizzAut-branded food trucks that will travel around Lombardy and Italy to multiply the opportunities for inclusion. “At the moment we will start with 12 but the goal is to have one for each province of Italy – explains Nico Acampora, founder of PizzAut, in a statement – and to give the management of the food truck to non-profit associations that deal with autism so as to offer ‘Aut’ jobs throughout Italy”. In fact, each vehicle will be able to employ up to five people with autism. “We are organizing targeted courses precisely to train around fifty young people who will then work on the PizzAutoBus. Why do we do this? – he continues -. Because work is a fundamental vehicle for social inclusion, the PizzAut project was born exactly with this assumption and with the objective to transform our boys and girls into active citizens, into taxpayers”. To date, PizzAut, in its two pizzerias in Cassina de’ Pecchi and Monza, employs 40 people including waiters, pizza chefs and kitchen workers. (HANDLE).
