The Hon. Nicole Matteoni, provincial secretary of Fratelli d’Italia in Trieste, expressed her opinion regarding President Giorgia Meloni’s candidacy in the European elections on the party lists. This choice marks a decisive moment for the future of Europe, according to Matteoni, who underlines the importance of changing the current balance within the EU.
During the programmatic conference held in Pescara this weekend, a delegation of Fratelli d’Italia Trieste was present, including Nicole Matteoni and Claudio Giacomelli, the direction for the electoral campaign for the European elections was outlined. The conference worked on defining a solid program that does not forget the ideals, values and projects of the party.
8 and 9 June, Matteoni underlines, will be the opportunity to radically change things. ‘Italy changes Europe’, he states, inviting everyone to vote for Fratelli d’Italia and to write to Giorgia Meloni.
Claudio Giacomelli, group leader of Fratelli d’Italia in the regional council of Friuli Venezia Giulia and city secretary, also commented on Meloni’s announcement. ‘Today Giorgia Meloni took to the field,’ he said, underlining the historical importance of this occasion for Europe. Giacomelli expressed confidence in the possibility of putting the left in opposition both in Italy and in Europe, paving the way for a centre-right majority made up of popular and conservatives.”
