Driving the motorbike was a forty-six year old, with his 38 year old partner with him. After the accident the man was injured and taken to hospital. For the thirty-eight year old, however, the situation immediately appeared more critical. She was urgently transferred to hospital in Rome by air ambulance, under code red.
