5-a-side football, Città di Melilli wins and finishes in third place

Città di Melilli beat Giovinazzo at home and secured third position in the A2 Elitè championship. Useful position to be able to play at home (11 May) the return match of the play offs against Roma (first leg in the capital which will be played on 4 May).

It was a crackling match at PalaVillasmundo, decided in front of a large and very enthusiastic crowd, with a hat-trick from a wild Leo Bocci, braces from Davide Spampinato and Ique Ribeiro and goals from Peppe Failla and Alejandro Vega Herrero.

After a pyrotechnic 4-4 in the first half with the never subdued Giovinazzo recovering the double disadvantage, in the second half mister Marcelo Mittelman’s men spread, reaching 9-5 and making vain the attacks of the Apulians who, in an attempt to exploit the 5th man of movement, they only find the goal of the final 9-6 and have to abandon the playoff dream.
