Yant also finds the direct point from nine meters, then Amin shakes him with an excellent diagonal shot that goes inside three meters for 10-14. Chinenyeze raises his voice against the wall and allows the cooks to extend further (11-16). Spirito relies on Amin’s creativity to revive the Scala team, but the advantage built by the red and whites is consistent and Yant’s attack increases the gap (15-20). The Cuban is also incisive in his serve and virtually closes the set. Dzavoronok keeps Verona afloat with a precise shot, but Bottolo adds his signature and brings the match back to a draw.
A high-level back-and-forth immediately began the third set, with Keita taking flight. The ball doesn’t fall even a few moments later, but Keita stops his opponents with a monster block that raises the decibels of the building. Courtesy is equally intrusive for 11-9. Civitanova regains the equalizer, then it is again the central defender from Treviso who pushes in the center, but three blocks in a row from the Cucineri give confidence to the guests (14-16). Lagumdzija goes diagonally for 15-18. Keita shoots hard and relaunches the Scaligeri (17-19), then Yant extends. Verona doesn’t give up and with Cortesia’s ace they reduce the gap (22-23), but Yant closes the score and sends Lube to Europe.
