A tragic accident occurred in Cambodia, where an explosion at an ammunition depot caused the death of at least twenty soldiers and injured many others. The accident occurred inside a military base in the province of Kampong Speu, west of the capital. Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet announced the news, expressing deep shock and condolences in a statement on Facebook. “I am deeply shocked to receive the news of the ammunition explosion,” he said, adding his “deepest condolences” to the victims’ families. The causes of the explosion have not yet been clarified. Photos and videos released on social media show a building completely destroyed and engulfed in flames.
