Sanremo. The sixteenth edition of the “Sanremo Dance Festival, a classical, modern, contemporary, fantasy dance, hip hop and ethnic dance competition is taking place on the prestigious stage of the Ariston Theater (and exceptionally this year also at the Casino Opera Theatre). and character. The event, which takes advantage of the collaboration of the Municipality of Sanremo and the patronage of the Liguria Region, will begin yesterday 26 April and will last throughout today. As part of the event, the “everyone dances Sanremo” event took place last Friday evening, in which young talents from local dance schools presented their choreographies. The Ariston stage, due to bad weather, hosted the traditional flashmob (this year danced to the tune of “sincerely” by Annalisa) which traditionally took place in front of the theatre.
The Sanremo Dance Festival has now consolidated absolutely unique participation numbers, so much so that it has requested the support of the Teatro del Casino to host some of the 400 choreographies planned for the competition. The number of dancers is considerable, exceeding 1500 units and 85 schools, coming from almost all Italian regions, from France, Brazil, Corsica and Malta.
As many as 12 international jurors take turns judging the competing choreographies: Cinzia di Cioccio, Luciano Di Natale, Lorella Doni, Davide Iacobone, Agnes Lascombes, André Malosa, Francesca Orlando, Margherita De Pieri, Daniele Rommelli, Simone Stella, Cristina Todi, Sergei Vanaev, X-Five.
The Sanremo Dance Festival – says the president of the organizing committee Giuliano FERRARI – has now become one of the flagships of our territory.
