Liguria Region works on 5 provincial roads managed by the Metropolitan City of Genoa.

On 18 April, the Liguria Region approved the resolution containing the 2024-2026 three-year list of interventions. Infrastructural designs relating to traffic conditions for municipal and provincial road networks.

«I am particularly satisfied that in this document we have included four interventions for which I have worked in recent years. explains Franco Senarega, Managing Director for Roads of the Metropolitan City of Genoa. ̶ Compared to our initial spending forecasts, the Liguria Region has approved funding for approximately 95% of what was requested.

In my opinion – reiterates Senarega – this is an excellent result. Especially considering that the works will guarantee important adjustments on the Fregarolo SP48 for an amount of €430,000 (of which €408,500 financed).

On the SP6 of Isoverde for an amount of €261,000 (of which €248,520 financed), on the SP51 of Livellato for an amount of €477,000 (of which €453,150 financed). On the SP81 of San Fermo for an amount of €740,000 (of which €703,000 financed)”.

These are roads, which the Metropolitan City of Genoa has long indicated needed work and for which the executive project is already ready.

Franco Senarega, Managing Director for Traffic explains:

«Therefore, if the amount and methods of implementation are confirmed to us in the next few days, I will take immediate action so that the organization can immediately start the tender and the assignment, obviously subject to a change in the budget and a change in the public works programme, and at the finding the missing 95,430 euros compared to the expenditure forecasts”.

The latest news, also present in the resolution, but referring to the year 2026, is the approval of the safety measures on the SP15 Brugneto provincial road at Km. 12.

«This is a work of great importance. But it is complex to implement due to a paleo landslide affecting the slope, for which we have planned works for €5,465,000 and which the Liguria Region will finance with €5,191,750.

The aforementioned provincial road has recently reopened, but with load and speed limitations precisely in the kilometric one due to the slow but inexorable movements of the paleo landslide.

I therefore trust that thanks to this work this serious problem can finally be resolved. The inhabitants of Propata are forced, as an alternative, to take a long detour towards Montebruno.” Concludes Senarega ABov
