BAGNOLO/BORGO VIRGILIO – A double accident within half an hour in two streets not far away, in the areas of Bagnolo and Borgo Virgilio. An affair, whose contours are yet to be clarified, involved a 34-year-old who caused both accidents: her 8-year-old son was injured (severe pain in his collarbone) during the first crash. The carabinieri of the Mantua company are investigating the dynamics, who will have to ascertain several dark sides of this bizarre affair, which fortunately did not have more serious consequences.
At approximately 5.15pm, a car overturned on its own in via Colombarotto in Bagnolo San Vito, probably due to its high speed. The driver, a 34-year-old woman, managed to independently get out of the vehicle after the accident and call her husband. When the emergency services and the military arrived, however, the woman was not present, having driven away driving the car that her husband had used to reach the site of the first accident: only the injured child was there.
During the rescue of the 8-year-old child, carried out by the Green Cross, the woman’s husband asked for further assistance directly from the medical operators for another accident (another road spill), which occurred not far away, in via Colombarola, in the territory of Borgo Virgilio (5.45pm): the 34-year-old was said to have caused the accident, with two other children on board, a 2-year-old and a 3-year-old. Fortunately, the children did not have serious consequences, while the woman was hospitalized at Poma with a head injury.
