The Chronicles of Narnia, important updates on the new film directed by Greta Gerwig
Descriptive text here

The Chronicles of Narnia is about to return with a new adaptation put in the pipeline by Netflix, which will be written and directed by none other than Greta Gerwig, former director of Ladybird and fresh from the global success of Barbie.

For the project, which involves the inauguration of a new series of films, entry into production is getting ever closer. According to what emerged in the last few hours on the portal What’s on Netflix this is expected to come into full operation in August in the UK. It was also specified that the production of the fantasy project should last approximately seven monthsfactor would therefore place the film’s shooting around March 2025.

Netflix has not yet set an official release date. However, if this production pace were to be respected, it is reasonable to think that the release of the film could take place in a period between end of 2025 and September 2026. Despite the inevitably long deadlines, the new adaptation of The Chronicles of Narnia however, it is now certain that it will see the light, sooner or later.

In recent months it was Greta Gerwig herself who made no secret of the pressure warned about this project:

«I haven’t really started rolling up my sleeves on the project yet, but I’m really scared of it, which seems like a good place to start. I think when I’m scared, it’s always a good sign. When I stop being one, maybe I think that maybe I shouldn’t make that film. Hand, I’m terrified of it. It is extraordinary. And exciting

The announcement of the creation of a new film by The Chronicles of Narnia was announced by the platform in 2018. The first two films written and directed by Greta Gerwig should also pave the way for other chapters based on the cycle of novels written by CS Lewis, already successfully transposed onto the big screen with the trilogy created by Disney released between 2005 and 2010.
