Hamas releases videos of two hostages

Hamas released a video showing two hostages in Gaza. Haaretz reported it. They are Keith Samuel Siegel, kidnapped from his house in Kfar Azza, and Omri Miran, kidnapped in Kibbutz Nahal Oz. The latter’s sister was recently, together with other families, received by Pope Francis in the Vatican. The release of the video by Hamas comes shortly after the start of protests in Israel by the families of the kidnapped against the government to urge a positive negotiation.

Video

In the video, according to what was also posted on X by the journalist Barak Ravid from Axios, there are images of two hostages apparently still alive. The first – he explained – is Keith Siegal, who is also a US citizen, taken in Kfar Aza kibbutz. The second is Omri Mirankidnapped on October 7 in Kibbutz of Nir Oz. Both, very experienced, tell of “a harsh condition” for the bombings on the Strip and speak words of “love for one’s family”. Overwritten, Hamas claims that “the killing” in Israel’s raids “of dozens of hostages prevented others from celebrating the Jewish Easter with their loved ones.” The two kidnapped men appeal to the Israeli government to participate in negotiations for an agreement for their release. At the same time, they invite their family members to put pressure on them with demonstrations to obtain their release. In the same video, clips of statements by the defense minister are shown Yoav Gallant and the prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu who speak of the need for military pressure to release the hostages. Israel has always defined these Hamas videos as “psychological propaganda” and as a rule the images are not disseminated.

The family members

The State of Israel must choose: either hostages or war. Entering Rafah will lead to more hostages dying in captivity and their killing in war.” They reported it the families of the kidnapped after the release of a new video of two hostages by Hamas. “Entering Rafah will be another way for the hostages to die. Israel chooses for the return of the hostages“.
