Festivals in Friuli: a weekend full of taste and tradition on 27 and 28 April 2024
Friuli is preparing to experience a weekend dedicated to tradition and good food with a series of festivals that attract visitors from all over the region. Here is a list of five major holidays that will be held on April 27 and 28, 2024.
1) Ricotta Festival in Mortegliano
Mortegliano celebrates ricotta with its 17th edition of the dedicated festival. The local dairy will be the protagonist with a variety of cheeses and guided tours. The program includes a young evening on the 27th with DJ Maxwell and Moova from Radio Piterpan and an evening of live music on the 28th with the Straballo Band. There will be tastings, magic shows, farmyard animal exhibitions and other family activities.

2) Asparagus Festival in Tavagnacco
There 86th edition of the Asparagus Festival of Tavagnacco offers a rich menu based on asparagus prepared in different ways, from omelette to asparagus mimosa. The sports ground will host food stalls and a live music program with bands such as Exes and Abba Showas well as games and entertainment for children.

3) Frog Festival in Rivis di Sedegliano
Rivis celebrates the 45th Frog Festival along the Tagliamento river. Local specialties such as fried frogs and fried calamari will be available in the new kiosks. The program includes dancing, rock and country evenings, vintage car rallies and a pet show.

4) “Lis Mirindutis” Country Festival in Titiano di Precenicco
The almost fiftieth anniversary “Lis Mirindutis” Country Festival offers a day of tradition with a mass in the Titiano church and activities such as canoeing and games for children. In case of bad weather, the celebrations will be postponed to April 28th.
5) Gnocchi Festival in Piani di Qua
Piani di Qua celebrates homemade gnocchi in the context of the splendid Val Raccolana. The festival offers gnocchi with traditional recipes and innovative variations, accompanied by live music and traditional dances.
These festivals offer a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the culinary and cultural traditions of Friuli, promising a weekend of fun and delights for all tastes.
