Iress Lazio, the CGIL of Rome and Lazio and the Giuseppe Di Vittorio Foundation are announcing two competitions as part of the “Di Vittorio” Literary Prize.

The first competition entitled “The Star Key” concerns published novels with the central theme of work in all its forms, set in Italy or in imaginary places. It is open to works published between 1 January 2021 and 31 December 2023. Authors can nominate their publications which will be examined by a commission which will preliminarily exclude works not relevant to the topic. The deadline for the tender is May 1, 2024. The jury will be made up of a popular jury and a scientific jury. The winner will receive a cash prize and one hundred copies of the book will be purchased for distribution to libraries. The final awards event is scheduled for September 2024.

The second competition entitled “Voices from work” concerns unpublished stories with the same theme of work and an Italian or imaginary setting. It is open to short stories, written in Italian and not previously published. Each author can participate with only one story. Here too the jury will be made up of a popular jury and a scientific jury, and the deadline for the competition is May 1, 2024. The winner will receive an artistic prize and the best stories will be published online and on paper. A final awards event is also planned for this competition in September 2024.

The methods for sending materials vary: published novels must be physically delivered to the CGIL headquarters in Rome and Lazio and also sent in PDF format via email, while unpublished stories must be sent exclusively via email together with a registration form . FOLLOW The City that resists
