Prices for new and used cars remained “stable at a high level” at the start of the year, according to AutoScout24.
In the first quarter, an average of 60,680 francs was requested for a new car listed on the online portal, an increase of 0.1% compared to the previous three months. In particular, hybrid vehicles have become more expensive (+3.5%), while SUVs (-0.7%) and small cars (-1.6%) have become cheaper. The evolution of prices on the used market was not very different, which marked +0.1%.
Meanwhile, advertisements have reached 330,000, the highest value since the start of the pandemic. «It is encouraging to see how the offer of used electric vehicles is developing: in the space of two years it has doubled, says Alberto Sanz de Lama, director of AutoScout24, quoted in a press release. «Electromobility is becoming accessible to a large part of the population», concludes the expert.
