Enna healthcare, school meeting on vaccination against infectious diseases

ENNA – The importance of vaccinations, starting from those foreseen in the vaccination calendar, was illustrated in the meeting held by Dr. Franco Belbruno, Director of the UOC Epidemiology and Health Statistics Service of the ASP of Enna, with the teaching staff, parents and family members of the students attending the Chinnici-Roncalli Comprehensive Institute in Piazza Armerina, directed by the Headmaster Vilma Piazza.

Franco Belbruno explored the topic of the transmission of infectious diseases preventable by vaccination, reviewing diseases such as mumps, measles, polio, meningococcus, whooping cough and highlighting the central role of vaccinations in reducing the consequences and mortality due to these pathologies. The event, organized by the UOS Education and Health Promotion Service of the ASP of Enna, attracted great interest from the participants.

Among the insights, there is ample space was dedicated to the topic of vaccination against the sexually transmitted infection of the Papilloma Virus. In conclusion, the UOS Health Education and Promotion Service proposed the implementation of further projects and initiatives aimed at prevention and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
