Ten years after the tragic flood that devastated our city, a new event in Senigallia at the Teatro Gabbiano with guest Mario Tozzi, geologist and scientific communicator, often on television with programs of great interest on the relationship between man, nature and the future.
The afternoon of May 10th, Mario Tozzi will give his contribution to the conference “2014-2024, ten years since the flood. Doing business despite everything”, organized by GIS (Senigallia Entrepreneurs Group) and by Caritas Senigallia Foundation with the patronage of the Municipality of Senigallia and Ania (National Association of Insurance Companies) and the technical support of BELFOR Italya company specialized in the technical management of emergencies.
The starting idea of the conference is that the latest natural disasters have strongly affected the economy and community of our territory but, despite some truly dramatic situations, companies have shown their willingness not to give up. The desire to react to environmental disasters and the ability of companies in our area to get back on their feet have been an example for everyone, but the management of climate change and flood risk specifically is a topic to be analyzed in depth to build an emergency culture . An intervention like that of Mario Tozzi, the first CNR researcher, will give new stimuli to entrepreneurs, thanks to his ability to be both scientific and empathetic with the public, as we are used to seeing in his program “Sapiens” one planet in broadcast on Rai3.
