The specialists Firefighters from the Dog Unit and helicopter rescuers from the Lombardy Flight Department have recently conducted joint training aimed at integrating the skills of the dog units with the use of the new AW 139 aircraft.

The activities, which took place in the province of Varese between Brinzio and Campo dei Fiori, had the objective of consolidating the familiarization between the dog units and the new aircraft supplied to the Fire Brigade. During the training, various embarkation, helicopter transport and disembarkation tests were carried out on operational scenarios.
The Fire Brigade periodically organizes such maneuvers in order to achieve high levels of competence and operational standards.
