“I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Fair’s security staff, the Carabinieri and the Fire Brigade who, with their prompt intervention, prevented what happened during the night from having more serious consequences”.
As Emanuela Ciarciathe president of the Pro Loco Venticanese, regarding the accident that occurred in one of the approximately two hundred stands present at the Campionaria.
No significant damage occurred in the exhibition area, which regularly opened its doors this morning to welcome visitors in complete safety.
“We are sorry for what happened and above all for the few chicks that were present inside the stand at the time the fire started, which was promptly put out and which it was not possible to save. The surveillance service – concludes Emanuela Ciarcia -, in concert with the police and fire brigade, fortunately managed to contain and circumscribe the area, managing to save most of the animals as well as the structures present”.
