THE Cobas Trade Union organizes 2 sit-ins on Friday 26 April and Saturday 27 April in front of the headquarters in Brindisi in via Maiorana (industrial area) of Teorema, a company that deals with the collection of urban waste, to support the protests of many citizens who they consider the management of the service insufficient for reasons that are clear to all and alongside the workers for a real change in the organization of work.
In recent weeks we have requested meetings to discuss the problems that persist in the collection, but to date all our questions have remained unanswered.
The commitment made by the company at the municipal headquarters in recent days, supported by union agreements signed upon entry from Teorema, to replace the workers who retired due to long illnesses, for 104, to take over the 7 temporary workers from former Ecotecnica late to arrive and these young people continue to protest under the Municipality of Brindisi.

After more than 6 months from the entry of the new Teorema company we are witnessing a vertical collapse of separate waste collection below 40%, complaints from many citizens about the service, temporary workers waiting to replace retired workers, are precisely the sign of something that is not it goes.
A local management of the Teorema company which holds meetings with workers in which it wants to change the rules of changing clothing, of leaving in the morning without checking the vehicles, which ask to do everything faster, which cancel the old tasks reported in the historical audience to use them also to other tasks.
It has been said that one of the causes why the service does not improve is absenteeism on Tuesdays and Fridays; the real reason for the absenteeism arises from the poor collection of waste which on the other hand creates a mountain of unsorted waste on the days indicated , creating great difficulty in collection.
We are for the face-to-face fight where we ask to improve separate waste collection by also providing bags, for the company to start a much better dialogue with workers, for strict control over activities by the Municipality, for the hiring of young people, and more Still .
We repeat it ad nauseam; the citizens of Brindisi pay directly for waste collection, they deserve much more than what they are receiving.
