PORTO SANT’ELPIDIO – Around 2pm today, a road accident threw the motorway section connecting Porto Sant’Elpidio to Civitanova Marche into turmoil, causing slowdowns and inevitable queues. The emergency car was immediately mobilized to deal with the critical situation, with an overturned car involved in the accident.
A woman and a child were traveling in the car and suffered the trauma of the impact. Fortunately, the child escaped unharmed, while the woman was transported to hospital under code red.
The accident occurred at kilometer 267 northbound, just 4 kilometers from the Civitanova Marche exit. The dynamics of the accident are still to be clarified.
Immediately after the accident was reported, rescuers from the Green Cross of Porto Sant’Elpidio arrived on site, accompanied by the medical vehicle and the motorway police of the Porto San Giorgio subsection. The firefighters and EuroSos roadside assistance also made their presence to ensure a complete and effective intervention.
In the meantime, the emergency number 115 ensured the safety of the vehicle involved, while the flow of traffic heading north was inevitably slowed down.
