A meeting at the Table Tennis Center to raise awareness of the importance of first aid in the event of cardiac arrest

SENIGALLIA – A meeting of the LifeGenZ project took place at the Olympic Table Tennis Centre, conceived by cardiologists Ilaria Battistoni and Matteo Francioni, aimed at raising awareness among children and adults about the importance of prompt first aid in the event of cardiac arrest.

The competitive activity of the Table Tennis Center has long been accompanied by activities linked to Senigallia society and the increasingly important link between sport and citizens’ health. The project, made possible by the activity of Anpas Marche volunteers, aims to make people increasingly capable of making a difference in everyday life and making the presence of the numerous defibrillator devices made available to everyone by the municipality active and effective. .

The meeting began with a theoretical part which, thanks to an innovative and engaging approach, facilitated by the use of mobile phones, involved the numerous participants who were struck by the immediacy of learning.

Immediately afterwards there was a practical part carried out in the gym with exercises with defibrillators on dummies.

The event was attended by Coni trustee Vittorio De Salsi and Alessandro Bailetti, president of the Sport Council of the Municipality of Senigallia.

At the end Sabrina Moretti brought greetings from the mayor and the sports councilor. Then the participants returned to the recreational area of ​​the Table Tennis Center to enjoy an aperitif offered by the company.

Among the participants, Salvo Pappalardo, Ju Jitsu master, the president of Senigallia basketball Sonia Fileri, daughter of Sergio Fileri, historic president of table tennis who with Otello Montesi achieved the best national results with the Senigallia club.

At the moment of saying goodbye, many thanks to Sabrina and see you at the next appointment for a new initiative, always in the name of the link between sport and health. Thanks also to maestro Enzo Pettinelli for having created the facility where sport is at the service of man and not the other way around.
