Juventus is the first finalist of the 2023-24 Italian Cup. At the Olimpico in Rome the Bianconeri lost 2-1 against Lazio but, thanks to the 2-0 in the first leg, they eliminated the Biancocelesti in the semi-final. Excellent display of personality from Igor Tudor’s men, who immediately took the lead with Castellanos’ header from the corner kicked by Luis Alberto, surprising Alex Sandro from behind. Subsequently Marras responds carefully to Vlahovic’s close shot while, at the end of the first half of the game, Lazio’s Argentine striker is hypnotized by Perin into a one-on-one action.
In the second half Castellanos took advantage of another assist from Luis Alberto and this time got the better of the Juventus goalkeeper, scoring the 2-0 goal which would have allowed the Biancocelesti to go to extra time. Immediately afterwards Marusic precedes Vlahovic on the goal line, but Juventus does not give up: the Serbian tries again, but the turning point comes from the bench with the entry of Milik in the 81st minute who, after two minutes, scores the goal to make it 2- 1 with an empty net allowing the Piedmontese to play for the final of the tournament. It will be one of Atalanta and Fiorentina to face Juventus.
