Drunk behind the wheel, record blood alcohol level. The phone call received by the police reported a person who had gone off the road with his car along the route that leads to San Donato Valcomino, on the border between the province of Frosinone and Abruzzo.

But above all, it indicated that the driver had remained motionless inside. Fearing the worst, the soldiers reached the scene, immediately finding the vehicle involved in the accident and no trace of braking on the asphalt. In the passenger compartment there was a 28-year-old from the area, in state of unconsciousness. They rescued him and took him to the nearest emergency room.
Where the tests revealed that he had not felt ill while driving but simply had a blood alcohol level six times higher than the limit permitted by law. The motorist was reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office: in addition to the immediate withdrawal of his driving license, the car was seized and will now be subjected to confiscation by the Prefecture of Frosinone.
