Wednesday at Villa Gentile USR Liguria and Stars in Sport relaunch “The fastest in the city”

One month to go Sports Festivala month a daySchool Olympics scheduled at the Porto Antico in Genoa with an innovative format that will see primary and lower secondary students having fun and discovering new sports disciplines along sports routes created by our staff thanks to the collaboration of the managers of over one hundred play and sports areas with Coni, Sport and Health, USR Liguria in the context of “Genoa 2024 European Capital of Sport”.

To celebrate this countdown, a Villa Gentile Stars in Sport together with the Regional School Office, in collaboration with Sport and Health, FIDAL and Endas, celebrates the return of “The fastest in town”competition aimed at pupils in classes 3-4-5 of primary school and classes 1 of lower secondary school.

From 8.30 there will be a welcome from the participating schools (IC Oregina, IC Pegli, IC Staglieno, IC Marassi, IC Pontedecimo, IC Foce, Istituto Santa Maria ad Nives, IC Rivarolo,
IC Campomorone Ceranesi, IC Sestri Est, IC San Teodoro), the competitions over the distance of 60 meters will begin from 9am, first with the third/fourth Primary and then the fifth/first Secondary batteries. At the same time, on the athletics field, it will be possible to try the activities of the vortex throw and the long jump.

On the occasion of the awards ceremony, ai 300 students registered a participation medal will be awarded.

Stars in Sport will deliver a gadget “Energy for Sport” provided by Iren Luce Gas and services to all participants, as well as offering a healthy snack thanks to the collaboration of SGM Genoa fruit and vegetable market And Panarello. An Oscar of Stars in Sport will go to the winning school of the event together with a voucher GenovaRent for the largest school. A morning dedicated to the promotion of sport, with also the presence of Sports Science students present to carry out training activities in support of the event.
