A tribute to Pietro Pittaro in the 76th edition of the Wine Festival
The inauguration ceremony of the 76th Wine Festival, which will be held on Wednesday 24 April at 5pm in the council room of the Burovich de Zmajevich municipal building in Casarsa della Delizia, will be embellished by the memory of Pietro Pittaro, the doyen of Friulian winemakers who passed away a month does. It will be a moment of celebration for his VSQ Talento MC Brut Etichetta Oro 2017, winner in the Classic Method category at the tenth edition of the Filari di Bolle Sparkling Wine Selection. The event will highlight the best sparkling wine productions in the region.
The winners of the different categories
This year, the spotlight is on several wineries that have excelled in the various sparkling wine categories:
Classic Method: VSQ Talento MC Brut Gold Label 2017 by Pietro Pittaro.
Charmat Prosecco DOC method: Prosecco DOC Brut from the Colutta company.
Charmat method Ribolla Gialla: Ribolla Gialla Brut NV from the Pitars company.
Charmat Prosecco Rosé method: Prosecco Rosé Millesimato 2023 Brut, also from the Pitars company.
Best label and packaging: Recognition awarded to the Bessich company for its Prosecco DOC Brut.
An extended jury for a careful selection
The Filari di Bolle jury this year stood out for its broad representation, including sommeliers, oenologists and qualified jurors coming not only from Friuli Venezia Giulia, but also from Veneto and Trentino Alto Adige. At the end of March, the jurors anonymously tasted over 60 wines in the competition, deciding the winners of the four categories. The jury was joined by observers including journalists, communicators and enthusiasts of the world of wine, who contributed significantly to the election of the best label and the best packaging.

The Filari di Bolle event is organized by Pro Casarsa della Delizia Aps, the City of Casarsa della Delizia and the Italian Sommelier Association of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The Consorzio DOC Friuli Venezia Giulia, Uni DOC-FVG also collaborate, with the support of Banca 360FVG and the patronage of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. There is the contribution of Città del Vino, Assoenologi, Onav, PromoTurismoFvg, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Wine and Flavors Route and the UNPLI FVG Committee.
