The Easter season invites us to transition, to enter into a new communion with God and with ourselves. Called to cross a threshold that opens for us “by vocal call”, his Word and the tone of his voice lead us. Then it is up to us to cross Him, because He is the door, we are called to re-cross and reinterpret His life with ours.
We are invited to give depth to the verbs lead, nourish, protect. Each of us is entrusted with flocks to take care of and feed ourselves. There is a fundamental vital exchange, a flock without a shepherd disperses and a shepherd without a flock is someone who wanders through the fields! A fruitful balance of love given and received makes our lives beautiful.
And when the weight of fatigue, doubts and fears visit us, His Word accompanies us towards new pastures. Jesus makes no secret of the fact that there will be those who will come to visit us to steal, kill and destroy. Voices that with his help we will be able to recognize, because they are foreign to what makes our hearts rejoice and the world flourish.
