Championship and surroundings: Lazio wins and beats Dea, Roma in Udine on 25 April

It’s match time for Serie A. Atalanta, after the extraordinary qualification for the Europa League semi-finals achieved against Liverpool, is called to travel to Monza against a team that aims to get back into the running for a position worth the access to European cups.

The Brianza team is experiencing a moment of great technical and corporate uncertainty, both the coach and the owners could change – in the not too distant future – but now the pitch counts and we will have to be very careful.

While waiting for Monza-Atalanta, which will be played tomorrow evening (21 April) at 8.45pm at the U-Power Stadium, the Serie A day began yesterday evening with two advances. Lazio won 1-0 in Genoa against Gilardino’s rossoblù and momentarily overtook the Dea in the standings, rising to 52 points. In the other match played in the evening, Cagliari-Juventus, the Sardinians bit their hands for a 2-2 draw in the second half after the initial double lead which was canceled out by Dossena’s own goal just a few minutes from the final whistle.

Today we continue with Empoli-Napoli and Verona-Udinese and, speaking of the Friulians, it was made official last night that the last 18 and a half minutes of the match with Roma suspended last Sunday due to N’Dicka’s illness will be made up on Thursday April 25th at 8pm.

Roma had asked the League to play that portion of the match later, so as not to have too many commitments in view of the semi-final against Bayer Leverkusen, but there were no other slots and we therefore went ahead with the initial hypothesis, i.e. recovery next week.
