“Color takes shape with creativity and imagination”: the personal exhibition of the master Domenico Angiolilli in Cisterna. This will be inaugurated Sunday 21 April at 11.00 on the first floor of Palazzo Caetani and will remain open to the public until May 10th.

Angiolilli trained at the Art Institute of Isernia, his hometown, and won the competition for the qualification for teaching drawing in high schools and for artistic education in middle schools. In 1968 he took on the role of artistic education in the Volpi middle school where he taught for over 30 years, approaching and introducing many young people from Cisterno to art.

Once retired, he dedicated himself more to his two great passions: painting and poetry. He has set up many personal exhibitions and has participated in various national and international artistic events, obtaining significant recognition in painting including the Isernia Art Institute Award, Gold Medal in Foggia, Controcampo Culturale International Award, Città di Sant’ Award Agata dei Goti, De Chirico Prize in Pescara, Boccioni Prize in Rome, Picasso Prize 2011 in Palermo.

He has also received numerous awards in poetry such as Culture for Peace 2001 ArteCultura, National Literary Competition “Merate”, mention with the lyric “Rinnovarsi” at the Literary and Art Publishing Award, Sanremo Arte.

In 2009 he published the book of poems “States of Mind, the painter poet”, and published his poems in Gli Autori Contemporanei, review, 2012, Anthology of Pontine poets, XXXVII International Literary Prize, honorable mention Santa Margherita Ligure – Artistic October 2014.

He has been cited by critics M. Di Nezza, G.Massarelli, F.Paonessa, M.Riposati, M.Milet, F.Tralli, I.Marucci, S.Perdicato, G.Rossi, G. Lerose, R. Iurescia, F.Moscardelli, G.Falossi, S.Vona, F.Borretti and others. He is president of the cultural association Arte e Comunicazione of Cisterna di Latina.

During the inauguration ceremony on Sunday, at 11 am, some of the artist’s poems will be recited by Giada Villanova.

The exhibition will remain open to the public until May 10th 2024 with free entry from 5pm to 7.30pm on weekdays, from 11am to 1pm and from 5pm to 7.30pm on holidays.
