Fear for two fifth classes of the Istituto Superiore Europa Unita in Chivasso. While returning from a trip to Prague, in the Czech Republic, on board some coaches, one of the vehicles was involved in a road accident on the A4 Turin-Milan.
It happened this night, around 1am on Saturday 20 April, at the time of Carisio’s exit.
The bus, with 19 students on board, was unable to avoid a Fiat Panda which shortly before had been involved in a collision with a Volkswagen Golf.
The Panda ended its run against a concrete New Jersey in the center of the road, overturning.
The vehicle with the Chivasse students, which was oncoming, was unable to avoid the impact.
There was great fear on board, but fortunately there were no serious injuries. All the children and the teaching staff with them suffered minor injuries.
The Traffic Police and the 118 health workers intervened on site.
The students were made to board the other buses that followed and continued to Chivasso, where their parents were waiting for them, obviously frightened by what had happened.
They arrived in the city in the middle of the night.
Some were in the emergency room for a check-up and subsequently discharged. The woman on board the Fiat Panda was transferred to hospital under green code.
