Fight against fires, new vehicles delivered to protect the woods of the Lamezo area

Lamezia Terme – New vehicles delivered to two associations operating in the Lamezia area in the field of preventing and fighting fires.

In fact, two of the 4×4 firefighting pick-ups that the Civil Protection has purchased in recent weeks are destined for the Decollatura group which operates in the Reventino-Savuto area and the San Pietro group in Maida Rocca Nucifera. The new vehicles were assigned through a tender to the Civil Protection volunteer organizations registered in the Regional Register, with a view to strengthening firefighting activities in the Calabrian territory and there are 18 in total – a conference took place in recent days presentation press at the regional citadel with the president Roberto Occhiuto – of which three destined for the province of Catanzaro: two in the Lamezzo area and another in Sant’Andrea apostolo sul Jonio.
