The funeral will be celebrated today at 3.30 pm in the Cathedral of Urbino for Diana Sorini (64 years old), professor of design in the graphic and multimedia disciplines of the Volta Fellini Art School in Riccione, who died on Tuesday in the tragic road accident between Cappone and Capponello di Vallefoglia, while from work he returned to his Urbino. Meanwhile yesterday, at school, where she arrived in 1994, during an informal but touching ceremony, a classroom was dedicated to her, where she used to hold lessons and where works created by her students stand out, all of whom showed up with a twig of lavender in her hand: a flower that Sorini loved to place on the benches of those present. On the teacher’s desk there was a whole vase of them with two white calla lilies. School staff, teachers and students of yesterday and today, as well as the principal Paride Principi, and the deputy mayor of Riccione, Sandra Villa, all gathered in a single embrace around the family of the beloved professor Diana, in particular her husband Enzo and their children, Silvia and Andrea.

The manager read some messages of condolence, starting with those from Bishop Nicolò Anselmi, from Giuliano Zamagni, councilor of the Province of Rimini delegate for Education and from the former principal Giuseppe Campagnoli. Many testimonies were expressed with a tremulous voice and an immense pain in her heart, but they traced a brilliant profile of the teacher, highlighting her immense humanity, professionalism, goodness of heart and willingness to always help everyone. Her emotion was palpable, it was impossible to hold back the tears in front of the words of esteem, the stories, the anecdotes and above all the film made in a few hours by her students. “I hadn’t met you before, but now it’s as if I’ve known you all forever” exclaimed Sorini’s husband.
