Kore elections, Koiné overcomes Kampus, Greco wins over Spada

The elections for the internal representative bodies of the Kore University of Enna, reserved for over 5000 members, have concluded. At stake were the renewals of some bodies, including the Department and Study Program Councils, Study Program Reviews and departmental Joint Commissions.

Koiné’s success on Kampus

Following the electoral consultation, as many as 130 student representatives were elected in the over 40 collegiate bodies that will make up the new assembly of elected representatives.

“The record goes to the “Koinè” association, founded at Kore in 2022, which after last year’s historic victory reconfirms itself as the first association of the Enna university by electing 74 representatives in the various bodies (equal to 56% of the assembly) , thus increasing the gap with the coalition formed by the historic associations “Kampus” and “Confederazione” which stops at 56 elected representatives” says Pietro Di Grazia, commissioner of the Labor and Social Policies Commission of the National Youth Council.

The derby between Greco and Spada

The Kore electoral race was also a sort of derby within the Democratic Party, given that the two associations have a very specific political reference. On the one hand there is Marco Grecoclose to the Koiné association, municipal councilor of the Democratic Party of Enna, elected regional secretary of the Young Democrats in the February congress but dismissed by the National Guarantee Commission of the Democratic Party following the appeal presented by 20 democratic representatives.

On the other hand, there is Tiziano Spada, regional deputy of the Democratic Party, elected in the province of Syracuse, close to the Kampus association. Furthermore, Spada had harshly criticized Greco’s election as regional secretary of the Gd, sharing the reasons of the appellants and also attacking the regional secretary of the Democratic Party, Anthony Barbagallo.
