A particularly ‘attractive’ market is that of electricity and gas. In fact, never before in this period has there been an ever-increasing aggressiveness, with telephone pressure bordering on fraud, difficult to intercept, which creates confusion and concern among the many citizens contacted daily by agencies offering offers which in reality are not very advantageous. Electricity and gas are not given to anyone for free and this is why it becomes important for citizens to turn to entities whose references are clear and close by. For some years, Confartigianato Chieti L’Aquila and AGSM AIM Energia have joined together in promoting, at local and national level, tariff proposals negotiated annually between the two entities, with the final objective of offering the user an opportunity to save, but also branches in the area. ‘Physical’ offices in the association spaces with staff able to provide assistance and advice.

“The collaboration a few years ago – explains the president of Confartigianato Chieti L’Aquila, Camillo Saraullo – led to a thousand domestic supply contracts signed in our local offices. By then negotiating the annual tariff conditions directly with AGSM AIM Energia, we aim for the best offers for the domestic users of our members, their employees and pensioners. We must recognize that AGSM AIM has shared with us from the beginning the idea of giving relief to domestic workers, applying competitive rates and offering an assistance service in case of need. Anyone who signs a supply contract in our offices knows that for any questions they can contact us and not strangers to talk to on the phone.”

The president also recalls that the collaboration with AGSM AIM has also developed in the rest of the country. The result is that to date approximately 68,500 domestic supply contracts have been signed, demonstrating the validity of the agreement.

“The intention is to continue the collaboration with the company owned by the municipalities of Verona and Vicenza also for other initiatives – adds Saraullo – For example in relation to electric charging points, energy efficiency and renewables, all topics on which we are already dealing with. I am convinced that the union of forces between AGSM AIM and Confartigianato could be of great use for our province”.

Federico Testa, president of AGSM AIM, also expresses satisfaction with the collaboration with Confartigianato: “We have been working together for some time and we want to try to open up new forms of collaboration, convinced that in this way we can achieve interesting results for everyone. The new challenges that the energy transition presents require major investments and changes in both businesses and families. When energy costs increased, we all understood what energy dependence on other countries entails and therefore the need to become more autonomous with the production of renewable energy, but also by making production processes or factories more efficient”.

“The collaboration with Confartigianato – continues Testa – is very important for us, as demonstrated by the numbers deriving from the agreements for energy supplies: in addition to the 68,500 domestic contracts there are 14,000 gas and electricity supply points for an annual total of 226 million kWh and 20 million cubic meters supplied. Basically we are faced with a large-scale partnership which will certainly expand with new opportunities for Confartigianato members and for the domestic users who are part of this system”.
