The first training meeting as part of the “Digital Alliance” project was held on Thursday 11 April 2024 at 9pm, at the CUS 1 sports facility in via Gramicia. Some parents of children aged between 11 and 13 attending the CUS Ferrara football school were present.
Giordano Barioni, educator and pedagogue, illustrated the phenomenon of the growing dependence on mobile phones, explaining how it is necessary to increase, both in adults and in the younger generations, the sense of responsibility in the use of digital media to avoid possible critical issues. It is important to manage time that is tailored to the person and, as far as possible, free from the conditioning of the media.
Another trainer “ally” of the project was also present at the meeting: Luca PalazziCoach ICF Trainer expert in Emotional Intelligence.
Critical awareness on the media, dialogue, harmony in relationships, sport as an expression of the beauty of the use of the body, fundamental to finding a healthy balance between connectivity and reality.
These were some of the topics on which the trainers guided the discussion among those present and which, also thanks to the combination of the two different professional approaches, lasted well beyond the expected end of the meeting, a clear sign of involvement and appreciation of the training evening . In the end, the possibility of continuation was kept open and in any case some material was left that could help parents in the educational dialogue with their children.
The next meeting will also be held at CUS 1, in via Gramicia, on Thursday 9 May at 9pm.
Parents of children (11-13 years old) enrolled in the CUS for other sports disciplines other than football will be invited to participate in the training evening.
