The Lazio Regional Council, chaired by Francesco Rocca, on the proposal of the Councilor for Agriculture and Budget, Giancarlo Righini, approved two resolutions which establish as many regional consultation tables.
The first, called “Green Table”, is aimed at defining, also through active dialogue between the Lazio Region and the territorial representatives of the sector, programmatic choices and the consequent actions to be undertaken regarding the valorisation and development of plant production and animals and related supply chains, planning and implementation of community agricultural policies.
The second round table has as its objective concertation on the supply chain of organic products in Lazio, to discuss the requests of stakeholders, making the action of the Lazio Region more effective in improving the competitiveness and impact of regional organic production on the market and encouraging the aggregation and integration of the various actors involved and the development of biodistricts.
“These measures – explains councilor Righini – have a strategic importance and constitute an absolute novelty. For the first time, in fact, in the Lazio Region a place of discussion with the protagonists of the agricultural and organic supply chain has been institutionalized where the best solutions can be analyzed together and the regulatory and financial tools introduced to grow and meet the demands of the related sectors”
To this end, in addition to the heads of the regional agriculture management, the representatives of the major territorial representatives of the sector will also sit at the aforementioned tables.
