Nintendo registers two new trademarks for old games: two remakes coming to Switch?
Descriptive text here

In Australia there are two new Nintendo game trademark registrations: let’s talk about Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush and Fullblox. The first is a 2015 game for WiiU while the second is a game from the same year for 3DS. It is specified that the classifications of the original games are still present, so it is possible that these new classifications are not a simple renewal of the old brand but refer to a new version of the two games, believably for Nintendo Switch.

As always, when it comes to trademark registrations, it is possible that it is just regular administration by Nintendo and that this new registration has no connection whatsoever with new games. We cannot know in detail whether there are plans to convert these games to Nintendo Switch.

It certainly wouldn’t be the first time for Nintendo, on the contrary. The Japanese company has recreated many games from older generations for Nintendo Switch.

Details on the two Nintendo games

Kirby and the rainbow paintbrush

Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush is a 2D platform game in which you can use the Wii U touch screen to draw ropes for Kirby to roll on. The villain of the moment is Clay who steals the colors of the Dream Land and makes it pale as stone. However, Kirby obtains a magic brush and with the support of the Waddle Dee begins his journey to regain his colors.

Fullblox, on the other hand, is a less well-known game. It is a puzzle game in which you need to climb over a block structure, pushing some components to create a path. The base game also had a number of add-on packs, so a Nintendo Switch version could offer all the extras in one go.
