Zero emission cars, in fact, still have too little autonomy compared to combustion engines, something to which the long waiting times are added recharge, which are not comparable to topping up petrol or diesel, which take place in a matter of seconds. However, this could soon change, as a revolutionary car is on the way from Sweden, capable of driving a much faster transition.

Long charging times are a significant problem for electric cars, and this is why manufacturers who have invested in zero emissions are committed not only to reducing production costs, but also to make the charging operation much fasterwhich could push the customer to purchase.
Well, a particular Polestar 5 is now able to go from 10 to 80% charge in just 10 minutes, a significant step forward, which could soon also happen on other cars. Consider that, on average, it takes about half an hour to top up energy of this type on zero-emission cars, but this prototype of the Swedish car, on the other hand, can do it in a third of the time.
Polestar has succeeded in this goal thanks to a close collaboration with StoreDotpioneer in the field of battery technology, that thanks to its new genius, namely Extreme Fast Charging, was able to guarantee a clear step forward in terms of charging times. All this happens thanks to the constant charging rate which starts from 310 kW, reaching a peak of 370 kW, shortening charging times.
This is the first charge of this kind in the world, but for the moment, the Polestar 5 that used it is only a prototype. However, it’s easy to imagine that this revolution will soon arrive on production cars too, which would give the Swedish company a clear technological advantage over the competition. The rivals are now called upon to respond blow for blow to the new advance.
