The “big family” of PCayenne bears expands with a new entry in the price list for 2024: the GTS. For several years now, SUVs have been making waves on the market, in every segment. Whether they have premium ambitions or are trying to attract drivers with average economic resources, this type of body shop receives popular approval. But those who have a few more years under their belt know well that this has not always been true, especially in reference to high-prestige brands.
An act of faith rewarded
The Cayenne was a gamble. Until then, in fact, the Casa della Cavallina had become accustomed to sports cars. This is why long-time enthusiasts shouted “sacrilege” during the first, historic presentation. But the strategy paid off and, in fact, Sport Utilities occupy an important part of the Porsche range.
As for the Porsche Cayenne GTS, it is also available in the Coupé version. Under the hood is a 4.0-liter eight-cylinder boosted to 500 hpas well as a specific aesthetic different from all other setups.
Sleek lines, sporty bumpers and glossy black details characterize the look, aggressive and dynamic. The black “GTS” writing on the sides and on the tailgate highlights the performance nature of the model. Both at the front and at the rear, the burnished lights convey grit and charm.
In anthracite grey, the 21-inch diameter RS Spyder alloy wheels combine precise and responsive handling with an easily recognizable style. The red brake calipers are just the icing on the cake. The on-board living room of the Porsche Cayenne GTS is overflowing with character and premium content. The sports seats in Race-Texa premium material similar to suede, offer excellent comfort and optimal lateral support during energetic driving.
The GT sports steering wheel, featuring a heating function, offers optimal grip and a top driving experience. Details in shiny black and dark bronze create a sophisticated contrast in Race-Texgiving refinement to the interiors.
Exclusively for the coupé variant, the fixed panoramic roof provides superior brightness and offers a wide view of the sky. In the options list, customers can find two packages with leather seats and details in the colors Carmine Red or Slate Gray Neo.
The beating heart of the Porsche Cayenne GTS is driven by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo eight-cylinder that releases 500 HP and 660 Nm of maximum torque, combined with the 8-speed Tiptronic S automatic gearbox for smooth and rapid gear changes.
Compared to the outgoing generation, this is an additional 40 HP and 40 Nm, for example a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and a peak speed of 275 km/h. Porsche Traction Management all-wheel drive allows you to easily tackle any type of terrain. Orders for both Porsche Cayenne GTS have been opened: deliveries will start in the summer.
