Alfa Romeo is a major player on the automotive market. The recent release of the Junior SUV could be followed by that of other models
It was undoubtedly the most important news on the Italian market in the month of April. After a long wait, Alfa Romeo has unveiled its new SUV, which immediately made history for having changed its name a few hours after its release.
What was supposed to be the new Alfa Romeo Milano has become the Alfa Romeo Junior. A name change resulting from the intervention of Minister Urso who invited the Arese company not to use a name that evidently recalls Italy for a car produced abroad, more precisely in Poland in the Tychy plant.
The Alfa Romeo Junior will be on sale in both full electric and hybrid versions at the price of respectively 39,500 And 29,900 euros. Both models, moreover, are among those that can be purchased with the state incentives starting in May, especially the latter which could significantly lower their purchase price.
The Junior certainly won’t be the last of Alfa Romeo’s innovations. In fact, there could soon be the return of some models that have made the history of the brand.
Alfa Romeo, another great return on the horizon?
The CEO of Alfa Romeo, Jean Philippe Learnato, in a speech at the beginning of March during an event held at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese, provided a preview of what the brand’s future models might look like.
It’s no secret that Learned is a big fan of the Julietthe sports sedan that is preparing to turn 70. An event that Alfa has decided to celebrate by creating a commemorative logo, awaiting a celebratory parade with some of the historic Giulietta models scheduled for Arese in June.
Well 70 years after its birth, the Giulietta is preparing to return. She could do it in the 2028 after the launch of the new Stelvio and Giulia, the latter models also included in the brand’s industrial plan.
A very welcome return for the Giulietta which, obviously, will present a possible variety of engines. The electric and hybrid versions are discounted (as happened with the Junior) it cannot be ruled out that Alfa could also give Alfa a gift a model with a petrol engine. It would really be a surprise. Furthermore, as Quattroruote reports, the new Giulietta could be produced in Melfi and use the STLA Medium platform, sharing it with the future Lancia Delta.
