Alfa Romeo will unveil an exclusive preview in Brussels: what will it be?

In recent days we have brought you the press release from Alfa Romeo about his upcoming participation in the Brussels Motor Show 2026. The event will take place from 9 to 18 January 2026. The thing that most struck the imagination of enthusiasts and fans of the snake was the reference to an exclusive preview“which will kick off a cycle of innovations intended to further strengthen the sporting character and identity of the brand”, as the press release precisely reports.

Alfa Romeo’s exclusive preview in Brussels will not concern one of the new models

This has obviously started to make some fans of the brand dream who are hoping for a preview of one of the new cars arriving such as the new Alfa Romeo Stelvio or the new Alfa Romeo Giulia. In our opinion, however, it seems very unlikely that this could be the case. First of all because there is still too much time left for their debut given that the current generations have been postponed until the end of 2027. This means that before that period it is very unlikely that the new generations will be revealed. At most it could happen in mid-2027 but not before. Also because we know for sure that production in Cassino will not start before 2028.

Furthermore, if it really were the first revelation of the new Alfa Romeo Stelvio or Giulia, the first rumors or even the first images would have already leaked. The very fact that the press release lists the company’s debut on the Belgian market as the most important news new Alfa Romeo Tonale makes it clear that those who dream would do well not to delude themselves too much.

In fact, it is likely that it could be a special version of one of the cars in the range. As the press release says, it is a preview that kicks off a cycle of innovations that will concern the Biscione in 2026, the year in which Alfa Romeo will reach its 116th anniversary. That it is not a new model is also confirmed by Stellantis’ general press release regarding the Brussels Motor Show which specifies that the group will present itself at the event with 62 models on display including two world premieres and two concept cars. The first two will be the new one Opel Astra and the new Peugeot 408 which have been updated. The two concept cars, however, are there Citroën Now and the Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo.

For Alfa Romeo, 2026 will be a year of transition. There will be no major debuts. Only special versions and limited editions. A novelty that according to some could arrive by the end of the year concerns a new very limited edition model that could be created with the BottegaFuoriserie program. But even here at the moment we are in the field of hypotheses.

Certainly, however, 2026 will be an important year for the Milanese company as the program for the next few years will finally be clarified and we will finally understand how much we will see the various models that will be announced. In short, we will understand if it arrives sooner the heir to Tonale, the new Giulia or the new Stelvio and above all in what years. Furthermore, it could finally be clear whether it is true that a new compact model could arrive which would be placed between Junior and Tonale produced on the STLA Small platform perhaps at Pomigliano.
