Sinner-Berrettini at Wimbledon tomorrow at 6pm on Centre Court

Centre Court could only be the scene of the super challenge in the second round of Wimbledon between Jannik Sinner and Matteo Berrettini. The world number 1 and the 2021 finalist will give life to a thrilling derby at the dawn of the tournament and will be protagonists on Wednesday on Centre Court, in the third and final match of the day: the appointment is estimated around 18/19 Italian time, obviously it will depend on the duration of the previous matches which will be Muller-Medvedev (starting at 14:30) and Osaka-Navarro.

WHAT A CHALLENGE

Berrettini knows the Wimbledon Centre Court well, having played there the final three years ago, lost to Novak Djokovic, as well as other great matches, starting with the challenge lost against Roger Federer in the round of 16 in 2019 with a clear 6-1 6-2 6-2. After playing the first round match on court number 1, Sinner will have the honor of stepping onto the most prestigious lawn in the world from the top of the rankings: both Italians lost a set in their debut match, Jannik against Hanfmann and Matteo against Fucsovics. It will be the second challenge between Sinner and Berrettini, after the one won by the South Tyrolean in two sets last year in Canada. “Only” court number 1, instead, for Carlos Alcaraz: the reigning champion will be engaged in the second match of the day against Aleksandar Vukic, after Todoni-Gauff and before Raducanu-Mertens.
