Beach for Babies is back with an edition full of new features: from Saturday 27 July to Sunday 4 August, sport, charity, music and good food will be the main protagonists of the event that has become one of the top events of the Verbania summer. From 2014 to today, the project born with the aim of creating aggregation and socialization, of spreading healthy values linked to sport and of raising funds for charitable activities in favor of children, has created over time a real solidarity network that has developed to reach truly important goals. Obviously everything revolves around a beach volleyball tournament that takes place in an arena set up in the historic center, under the Basilica of San Vittore in Verbania. The patronage of the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, the City of Verbania and the precious partnership with the VCO Community Foundation in the management of the charity projects have confirmed the credibility of the management. Over the years, B4B has achieved sensationally important goals such as the purchase of medical equipment for the pediatrics department of the Castelli hospital, such as the creation of Casa del Parto; a room with a tub for water births also at the Castelli, the purchase of a pediatric ambulance for the Italian Red Cross and the creation of an inclusive playground soon to be inaugurated. The amount of actual donations is astonishing, amounting to approximately 300 thousand euros to date, achieved with the generosity of everyone; from the founding members to the staff, from the public to the companies that support the event. The goal for 2024 will be the financing of “Camp Edu”, an educational summer campus dedicated to autistic children and the donation of a vehicle to the Croce Verde dedicated mainly to the transport of children and young people with difficulties and disabilities and in particular to those who will participate in “Camp Edu”. The total cost of the project amounts to approximately 80,000 euros. If the economic result allows it, “Odontoiatria dei Legami” will also be supported, an operational service that offers basic dental services for the most vulnerable groups, in contrast to health and care poverty, promoted by the Croce Ross of Verbania. On the field, play will begin on Saturday 27 July and end on Saturday 3 August, with a big final party on Sunday 4 August, but there will be time to talk about this.
