Basketball Reggiana announces that it has reached an agreement until 2028 with the athlete Philip Gallowith options to leave at the end of the first two years. Born in Trieste, class of 2004, Gallo is a 194 centimeter point guard who, after taking his first steps in Azzurra Basket Trieste, continued his youth career at Vanoli Cremona, with whom he made his Serie A debut in the 2020/2021 season.

Subsequently, he played for Orzinuovi and, in the last season, in Serie A2 in Piacenza, achieving qualification for the Playoffs together with his teammates. For him over 20 minutes per game with 6.6 points and 3.1 assists on average, and a maximum of 17 points in the victory against Luiss Roma.

For two years Gallo has been a regular member of the Italbasket Under 20 group, with which he played in the category European Championships in 2022 and with which he is currently in retreat in Domegge di Cadore (Belluno) to prepare for the European Championships which will take place from 13th to July 21st in Poland.

This is how coach Dimitris Prifits presented the new red and white: “Filippo is a young and talented boy. We followed him carefully throughout last season and we are proud that he is now an element of our squad. He is a 194 centimeter point guard who will certainly He will give us greater size on the perimeter. I have only tasted Serie A as a “child”, I am aware that it is a difficult and high-level championship and I will therefore have a lot of work to do, but I am very motivated. A long journey begins, where I will have time to learn many things and get help from the staff and my more experienced teammates: the goal is to give a hand to the team right away, both in the championship and in the cup. I am very happy and impatient to begin this new adventure”.
